Hello and welcome to Blue Ridge Settlers-Photography, my name is Paul Sappington and this is where I share my view into the great and small worlds of the Appalachian Mountains and beyond. My journey into photography started with a desire to surround myself with the images and feel of my experiences exploring outdoors and to inspire me to continue to put in the effort for the next adventure.
Hiking and exploring with my Nikon and often less gear than I need, I set out on a mix of carefully planned trips or spontaneous moments surrounded by the grandeur of these mountains. Whether facing 40+ mph winds, sub-zero temps, or driving rain, I thrill in hiking in all elements to encapsulate the wonder and diversity of the Appalachian range. Through my lens, I strive to record and share the awe-inspiring joy of wherever I find myself, encouraging others to appreciate and preserve the beauty of our outdoor spaces.
